Special:Play is now partially compatible! Thanks to some personal help, we are currently beta testing the custom special play to play Candy Box locally on the wiki. Note that the other page will remain open during the beta. Once it is successfully compatible and works perfectly, the content page will be removed.
The wiki now has a new, comprised, thorough, man-written Manual of Style guideline to be followed! Note to look here for all guidelines when editing or creating an article. For suggestions, please post in the Candy Box Wiki discussion board in the forum and propose the change or addition. The Manual of Style is new and as such should be treated as a first draft. Even, any and all users are expected to follow the guidelines, including admins, however, they have a bit of addition to editing the MoS.
Thanks and I hope you like the new MoS. Happy editing!
I have finally completed the complex code to work Candy Box to be played on the wiki! It took a lot of time of testing and importing, but it is finally playable, via its page. This should increase the general game's SEO on Google as well. Of course, this is a beta and has several bugs and major errors. Feel free to contact me here about these problems an tell me what you saw and submit a screenshot, preferably.
It might be better to pull the search box out of the user info part. I mean, if you are on userpages, the search box in the top right corner shows up within the grey part, with two disadvantages:
- it makes the part with the user rights split up to two lines if it's too long (like on User:Elecbullet's profile) which doesn't look as pretty
- when typing something in the search, the suggested options need to be scrolled down to
The first is probably just an aesthetic detail, but the latter, I actually find quite annoying. What do you guys think?
From what I've witness, the admin, Yuzura, has been downright ignorant. People come to this site for help and if you're going to tell people to stop arguing just because you think they're wrong, you shouldn't be an admin. And just so you know, in hard mode, no matter how many candy you eat, you will always have 100HP.
On my w:c:wolfenstein, I have a few templates for easily citing the source code of games (especially Wolfenstein 3D) to verify things I've said.
I modified one such template and put it on this wiki: it can be found at Template:Source. Y'all think it's a good idea to use this template to verify claims we make using the source code? Or is that too Munchkin-y? I've put an example implementation at Lollipop farm.
I suggest a new category be created. This would be titled "Bosses". This would not replace the "Enemies" category-- it would just be added in addition. For example, the whale's page will be categorized as enemies and bosses.
The pages that would go under this category would include the following:
Please state your opinions on the new category and whether it should be made or not.
