The devil, or as it is abbreviated in Candy Box, DEV, not to be confused with the developer, is the boss of Hell. He has made several teleporting portals right before you reach him. He has the same appearance as the developper himself. Just like with the developer, you need an Invulnerability potion to kill him, as his attack is so strong it kills you nearly instantly.
